Sing Me A Tune, Bone-Daddy

When one of my classes got canceled, I had to wait a few hours until my next class began. That was the day I called Murphy's Law. Though, on that same day, I got the sudden argh to draw Jack Skellington for some reason. While I was doodling him I was listing to these three songs you see him sing here. Lets just say I have a taste for much older music before my time. I won't quote all the lyrics from each of these songs but let me explain what I think about them and why I chose them.

"It's A Dead Man's Party" By Oingo Boingo ~ Now I would say, judging by the title, that this is a very fitting song, but did you know Danny Elfman himself was in a band at first? Maybe? Well, before he went on to compose music for movies (as well write the songs and provide the singing voice for Jack) Danny use to be part of a band call Oingo Boingo. So this song has a much deeper connection the Jack than most would realize.

"Blue Guitar" By Moody Blues~ This song has a very soothing melody to it and I could totally see Jack singing this to himself. I like to listen to this on a sunny blue day when it's either summer or spring.

"Tuesday Afternoon" By Moody Blues (Again)~ Yes I know, another Moody Blues song, but I can't help myself. I get the feeling some of you may have heard of this song somewhere, but probably did know who it was by. This is one on Moody Blues biggest hits from their first album "Days Of Future Past." When ever I hear this album, my mind immediately goes to Nightmare Before Christmas. I don't know why, just something about the music makes me think of the movie.
